How to Set Up Automatic Server Messages on Your Project Zomboid Server

1. Log In to Your Panel


2. Select the ‘Schedules’ Tab

3. Create a Schedule

If you don’t know how to create schedules, you can view our How to Configure Schedules on Cybrancee article.


4. Edit the Schedule

4.1. Enter the Schedule Name

Since we want to configure automatic messages, you can enter the name ‘Automatic Messages’.


4.2. Select the ‘Easy-Mode’ Button

This option will allow you to configure time intervals more easily.


4.3. Enter the Time Interval at Which the Messages Will Occur

You can choose any time interval for automatic messages to be sent on your server. In our case, we will configure it to send messages every 3 hours.


4.4. Make Sure the ‘Schedule Enabled’ Option Is Checked

Then, save changes.


5. Select the ‘New Task’ Button

5.1. Select the ‘Send Command’ Option in the ‘Action’ Dropdown Menu

Make sure to leave the ‘Time offset’ option set to 0.

Steps to configure automatic messages on a Project Zomboid server

5.2. Enter the servermsg <message> Command in the ‘Payload’ Section

Inside the angle brackets < >, you must write the message body. For example, we will configure it to send the message ‘Hello everyone’ using the command: servermsg Hello everyone


5.3. Enable the ‘Continue on Failure’ Option

Then, select the ‘Create Task’ button.


6. Restart Your Server
