How To Add Mods to Your Don’t Starve Together Server

1. Open Your Steam Workshop

In your steam library, select Don’t Starve Together game. On the right side menu select ‘workshop’.

2. Copy Workshop ID

When you find server side mod you want to use, copy ID that you can find in URL on top of the steam window.

3. Log In to Your Panel

4. Navigate to Mods Folder in Your Server Files

Open .lua file located in ‘Files’ of your server.

/home/container/mods/dedicated_server_mods_setup.lua

There you can find description in form of grey comments on how to add mods. Add ‘ServerModSetup(“id”)’ line for each mod you want (like image shows bellow).

After that ‘Save Content’.

5. Navigate to All Shard Folders in Your Server Files

Open .lua file located in ‘Files’ of your server

/home/container/DoNotStarveTogether/config/server/Master/modoverrides.lua /home/container/DoNotStarveTogether/config/server/Caves/modoverrides.lua

There you can enable mod manually (like image shows bellow).

You can also enable more mods by simply adding ‘,’ at the end of each mod string.

After that ‘Save Content’.

6. Restart Your Server

Select the ‘Console’ tab and then select the ‘Restart’ button. Keep an eye out for any error messages relating to your server token.

7. Start Your Game and Browse Games

Start the Don’t Starve Together game and open ‘Browse Games’. There you should find your game by searching your server name.

8. Check the Status of Mods You Added
