How To Configure PvE or PvP Zones on Your Hytale Server

Note:

Currently, Hytale doesn’t have a direct feature for configuring and creating PvP and PvE zones; this can be achieved by mods.

With the current in-game features currently, you can turn off and on PvP and PvE within the server as a whole.

1. Log In to Your Panel

2. Select the ‘Files’ Tab

3. Locate the ‘config.json‘ File

You can find the config.json at:

home/container/universe/worlds/default/config.json

4. Within the ‘config.json‘ Locate World Difficulty Settings

Below are the settings that control difficulty levels on your server. These can be configured how you want, but there are some known presets for both PvP and PvE settings :

Default Settings
“IsPvpEnabled”: true,	Allows PvP within the server
“IsSpawningNPC”: true,	Allows NPC’s to spawn
“IsAllNPCFrozen”: false,	Allows NPC’s to interact and move around

No PvP Settings
“IsPvpEnabled”: false,	Stops PvP within the server
“IsSpawningNPC”: true,	Allows NPC’s to spawn
“IsAllNPCFrozen”: false,	Allows NPC’s to interact and move around

No PvE Settings
“IsPvpEnabled”: true,	Allows PvP within the server
“IsSpawningNPC”: false,	Stops NPC from spawing in the game
“IsAllNPCFrozen”: true,	Stops NPC from moving and interacting with players
