How to Find a Hytale Player’s UUID

1. Log In to Your Panel

2. Select the ‘Files’ Tab

Files Tab - Hytale

3. Locate Your ‘players’ Folder

You can find your players’ folder through this directory: home/container/universe/players

Your Players Folder - Hytale

4. Select a File to Check

Whenever a player joins your server, a unique data file is automatically generated within this directory. These files are named using the player’s UUID (Universally Unique Identifier) to ensure there are no conflicts between accounts.

For instance, if a player named GoldLeaf334 joins, the server creates a file titled f03a2733-e57f-4c65-8464-5d3c1f13c802.json. These .json files serve as a database for individual player states, storing critical information such as spawn coordinates, current health, and gamemode settings.

5. Locating a Player’s Username

Player username Tab - Hytale

Within the player’s data file, the username is stored in two specific locations: the Nameplate data field and the DisplayName section

NamePlate Location Close - Hytale

6. After Locating the Correct File Copy the UUID

Player UUID Selection - Hytale

The name of the file is the users UUID. When copying the player’s identifier, select only the file name itself. Be careful not to include the .json extension, as adding those extra characters will result in an invalid UUID.
