How to Install Admin Radar Plugin on Your Rust Server

Admin Radar lets admins track players, NPCs, and entities on-screen in real time. It’s mainly used to detect cheaters, showing positions, health, distance, and more with quick filter options for easy control.

1. Download the Plugin

Download the ‘Admin Radar’ plugin from the Umod official website.


2. Log In to Your Panel


3. Select the ‘Files’ Tab

4. Locate the ‘plugins’ Folder

You can find the folder in  /home/container/oxide/plugins.

5. Upload Your Plugin

Upload the ‘AdminRadar’ .cs file you downloaded in Step 1.

After uploading, you should see the .cs file in the folder.

6. Restart Your Server

7. Admin Radar Settings


7.1 Select the ‘Files’ Tab

7.2 Locate the ‘config’ Folder

7.3 Open the ‘AdminRadar.json’ file

Find and open the ‘AdminRadar.json‘ file to edit the plugin settings.


7.4 Additional Tracking

By default, Players, Bradley APC, and Helicopters are displayed. You can enable or disable more filters in the ‘Additional Tracking‘ section.

7.5 Drawing Distances Settings

The ‘Drawing Distances' section allows you to adjust how far different entities are displayed on your radar.

7.6 In-Game Menu Settings

In the ‘GUI' section, you can control which filter buttons appear in the in-game radar panel. Enable or disable them to customize your radar interface.

8. Select the ‘Save Content’ Button

Once you have configured all your desired settings, select the ‘Save Content’ button at the bottom of the configuration panel.

9. Reload the Plugin

In the console field, type o.reload AdminRadar and press Enter to reload your plugin.

10. Admin Radar Quick Guide

Permissions

This plugin uses the Oxide permission system.

  • adminradar.allowed → Required to use /radar commands. Grants a temporary admin flag, so only give to trusted users.
  • adminradar.auto → Automatically enable the radar when connecting.
  • adminradar.list → Allows the use of /radar list to see active radar users.

To grant a permission type this command in the server console field:

oxide.grant user <name or steamID> adminradar.allowed

Replace <steamID> with the player’s SteamID and <permission> with the permission you want to assign. Use the guide How to Find a User’s SteamID to get the correct ID.

In-Game Chat Commands

  • /radar – Toggle the radar on/off.
  • /radar f – Enable your last used filter.
  • /radar ui – Show or hide the quick toggle interface.
  • /radar online – Show only online players.
  • /radar list – See all admins currently using radar.
  • /radar drops – Display dropped items (like traps, loot, landmines) within 150m.
  • /radar vision – See what players are looking at.
  • /radar buildings – Draw all buildings without a Tool Cupboard. To include buildings with a TC, increase Drawing Distances > Tool Cupboard in the ‘config' file in Step 7.5.

Use the filters to control what the radar shows. You can select 'All' to display everything, or pick filters individually to show specific entities or items.

  • All → Enable all filters.
  • Bag → Show sleeping bags.
  • Box → Show storage containers and supply drops.
  • Col → Show collectibles (stone ore, metal ore, etc.).
  • Dead → Show dead players.
  • Loot → Show loot containers, dropped loot, trash, and backpacks.
  • NPC → Show animals, Human NPCs, and Scientists.
  • Ore → Show resource nodes (stone, metal, sulfur).
  • Sleeper → Show sleeping players.
  • Stash → Show stashes.
  • TC → Show tool cupboards.
  • TCArrow → Show turrets.
