How to Configure Vehicle Generation on Your Project Zomboid Server

1. Open Project Zomboid


2. Log In to Your Server With Your Admin Account

If you don’t know how to be an admin on your server, you can view our Become an Admin on Your Project Zomboid Server article.


3. Select ‘Admin’

4. Select ‘Sandbox Options’

5. Select ‘Vehicles’

5.1. Modify the Vehicle Generation Options You Want

Easy Use: This option will make all vehicles have keys and fuel by default.

Recent Survivor Vehicles: This option increases the chances of finding vehicles in good condition, with keys and fuel.

Zombie Attraction Multiplier: This value increases or decreases the attraction of zombies to moving vehicles.

Car Spawn Rate: This option increases or decreases the spawn rate of vehicles across the map.

Chance Has Gas: This option configures the probability of vehicles having fuel or not.

Initial Gas: This option sets the default amount of fuel a vehicle may have.

Gas Consumption: This value increases or decreases fuel consumption in vehicles.

Locked Frequency: This option configures the probability of finding locked vehicles.

General Condition: This option increases or decreases the physical condition in which vehicles spawn.

Carwreck Congestion: This checkbox allows generating burned or destroyed vehicles on roads.

Car Alarms Frequency: This option configures the probability of a vehicle alarm activating when stolen.

Player Damaged from Crash: This checkbox allows players to take damage when hit by a vehicle.

Car Damage on Impact: This option increases or decreases the damage vehicles take when colliding.

Siren Shutoff Hours: This value sets how long a vehicle alarm lasts before turning off.

Damage to Player from Hit by a Car: This option configures the amount of damage players take when hit by a vehicle.
