How to Set Up Automated Cloud Backups to Google Drive (DriveBackupV2)

1. Download the DriveBackupV2.jar File

Note: Make sure to match your Server Version and Platform.

2. Log In to Your Panel


3. Select the ‘Files’ Tab

6. Restart Your Server


7. Select the ‘Console’ Tab

8. Type the Link Command

Type drivebackup linkaccount googledrive and press Enter


9. Click the Link

The plugin will provide a URL and a unique secret code. Click the link to open the Google Authorisation page in your browser.

11. Choose Your Google Account


12. Confirm the Connection

13. Manually Start a Backup

Type drivebackup backup in the console. This forces the plugin to start zipping your files immediately.


14. Check the Backup Status

Type drivebackup status. This will show you exactly which world is being zipped and the upload progress to Google Drive.

15. Verify the File in Google Drive

16. Select the ‘Files’ Tab

17. Select ‘Plugins’ Folder

18. Select the ‘DriveBackupV2’ Folder

19. Select the ‘config.yml‘ File

20. Change the Backup Interval

Look for the delay: 60 line. Change 60 to your preferred time in minutes (e.g., 1440 for once every 24 hours).

21. Set the ‘Keep Count’ (Storage Management)

Find keep-count: 20. This tells the plugin to only keep the 20 most recent backups, automatically deleting the oldest ones to save space on your Google Drive.

22. Click the ‘Save Content’ Button


23. Restart Your Server
