How To Adjust the Optimal Player Spawn Distance in Space Engineers

1. Log In to Your Panel


2. Select the ‘Files’ Tab

3. Select the ‘config’ Folder

4. Select the ‘Saves’ Folder

5. Select the ‘World’ Folder

6. Inside the ‘World’ Folder, Select the ‘Sandbox_config.sbc‘ File

7. Configure the Optimal Spawn Distance Setting

Scroll through the file or use Ctrl + F to find the <OptimalSpawnDistance> tag. The value inside this tag is measured in meters.

For Distant Spawns (Hidden/PvP): Increase the value to 25,000 meters or higher. Example: <OptimalSpawnDistance>25000</OptimalSpawnDistance>.

For Close Spawns (Co-op/Action): Lower the value to something like 4,000 meters. Example: <OptimalSpawnDistance>4000</OptimalSpawnDistance>.

For Standard Vanilla Spawns: Set the value to <OptimalSpawnDistance>16000</OptimalSpawnDistance>.

8. Save the Changes
