How To Adjust the Death Streak Penalty on Your Palworld Server

Note:

If you’ve ever noticed that your respawn timer gets longer every time you die in a short window, you’ve encountered the Respawn Penalty system. The RespawnPenaltyDurationThreshold is the setting that defines exactly how long that “danger window” lasts.

1. Log In to Your Panel

3. Select the ‘Files’ Tab

4. Open the ‘PalWorldSettings.ini’ File

Navigate to:

Pal/Saved/Config/LinuxServer/PalWorldSettings.ini

5. Locate the Variable

Tip: Use Ctrl + F to quickly find the required setting inside PalWorldSettings.ini

Search for RespawnPenaltyDurationThreshold

Setting Value	Behavior	Effect
0.0	No Memory	The server “forgets” your death immediately. Respawn time stays at the base BlockRespawnTime.
1800.0	Default	30 Minutes. If you die again within 30 minutes of your last death, your respawn timer will be penalized.
3600.0	Strict	1 Hour. Forces players to be extremely cautious for a long time after a single mistake.
