How To Change the Retreat Timer on Your Insurgency: Sandstorm Server

Note:

Before editing, make sure your server is offline so your changes aren’t overwritten. If your Game.ini is empty, you must include the Section Header (the text in brackets) for the commands to work. If the header already exists in your file, add the command directly underneath it instead of duplicating the header.

1. Log In to Your Panel

2. Stop Your Server

3. Select the ‘Files’ Tab

4. Open the ‘Game.ini’ file

Navigate to:

Insurgency/Saved/Config/LinuxServer/

5. Edit the ‘Game.ini’ File

Configuration Element	Exact Code	Notes
Header Section	[/Script/Insurgency.INSGameMode]	Ensure this is at the top of the block. Do not duplicate if it already exists.
Command Line (Harsh)	RetreatTimer=5	Place directly under the header. Forces a rapid retreat; extremely punishing for defenders who hold the line too long.
Command Line (Standard)	RetreatTimer=10	Place directly under the header. The standard baseline for a balanced fallback.
Command Line (Forgiving)	RetreatTimer=20	Place directly under the header. Gives defenders plenty of time to safely withdraw and coordinate their next setup.
