How To Enable or Disable “GoodBot” Hints for New Players Joining Your Space Engineers Server

Note:

“GoodBot” is the robotic voice and on-screen text helper that guides new players through the basic mechanics of Space Engineers. While incredibly helpful for absolute beginners, veteran players often find the continuous pop-ups annoying. As a server owner, you can globally disable these hints for everyone.

1. Log In to Your Panel

2. Select the ‘Files’ Tab

3. Select the ‘config’ Folder

4. Select the ‘Saves’ Folder

5. Select the ‘World’ Folder

6. Inside the ‘World’ Folder, Select the ‘Sandbox_config.sbc‘ File

7. Change the GoodBot Variable

Scroll through the text file or use Ctrl + F to find the following line of XML code: <EnableGoodBotHints>true</EnableGoodBotHints>

To turn off the robotic helper and disable the pop-ups, simply change the word true to false. The line should look exactly like this: <EnableGoodBotHints>false</EnableGoodBotHints>

8. Save the Changes

9. Restart Your Server
