How To Change the Witch’s Burn Time on Your Left 4 Dead 2 Server

1. Log In to Your Panel

2. Select the ‘Files’ Tab

3. Select the ‘left4dead2’ Folder

4. Select the ‘cfg’ Folder

5. Select the ‘server.cfg‘ File

6. Add the Timer Command

In Left 4 Dead 2, igniting a Witch doesn’t drain her standard health pool—it puts her on a strict, unavoidable death countdown. The z_witch_burn_time variable dictates exactly how long that countdown is.

Scroll to the bottom of the file. Paste the following code on a new line and adjust the number to your preferred time in seconds (for example, setting it to 5 means she dies almost instantly, while 30 gives her plenty of time to catch you):

// Adjusts how many seconds it takes for a burning Witch to die
sm_cvar z_witch_burn_time 5
