How To Set Administrators on Your Rust Server

-> Using Startup/Console Tab

1. Log In to Your Panel


2. Select the ‘Startup’ Tab

3. Enter Your Steam ID In the ‘OWNER ID’ Field

Ownerid is the highest admin auth level (2).

4. Select the ‘Console’ Tab

5. Optional: Add More Than One Owner to Your Server

Enter the following command in the console field, replacing <SteamID> and <username> with the player’s actual information:

ownerid <SteamID> <Username>

6. Optional: Add Moderators to Your Server

Moderator is the second highest admin auth level (1).

Enter the following command in the console field, replacing <SteamID> and <username> with the player’s actual information:

moderatorid <SteamID> <Username>


-> Editing the ‘users.cfg’ File

1. Log In to Your Panel


2. Select the ‘Files’ Tab

3. Locate the ‘cfg’ Folder

4. Open the ‘cfg’ File

5. Edit the ‘users.cfg’ File

Enter the command for the role you want to assign to each user, one line per user.

  • ownerid <SteamID> <Username>
  • moderatorid <SteamID> <Username>

6. Select the ‘Save Content’ Button


7. Restart Your Server
