How To Change the Pipe Bomb Explosion Delay on Your Left 4 Dead 2 Server

Important!

You must have SourceMod and MetaMod installed on your server before following this guide. If you do not have them yet, check out our guides on installing them first.

1. Log In to Your Panel

2. Select the ‘Files’ Tab

3. Select the ‘left4dead2’ Folder

4. Select the ‘cfg’ Folder

5. Select the ‘server.cfg‘ File

6. Add the Timer Command

The pipe_bomb_timer_duration variable controls exactly how many seconds pass between the pipe bomb leaving a player’s hand and the actual explosion. Setting it to 6 gives the beeping sound double the time to attract every zombie in the area before finally going off

Scroll to the bottom of the file. Paste the following code on a new line and adjust the number to your preferred fuse length in seconds (the default is 3):

// Adjusts the pipe bomb fuse timer in seconds
sm_cvar pipe_bomb_timer_duration 6

7. Save the Changes

8. Restart Your Server
