How to Set Up a Player Bounty System on Your Minecraft Server (BetterBounty)

1. Download the ‘BetterBounty.jar’ File

Note: Make sure to match your Server Version and Platform.

2. Log In to Your Panel


3. Select the ‘Files‘ Tab

4. Select the ‘Plugins‘ Folder

5. Upload the ‘BetterBounty.jar‘ Into the ‘Plugins‘ Folder

6. Restart Your Server


7. Place a Bounty on a Player

You can easily place a bounty on your enemies using your server’s money! Open your chat and type:

/bounty add [PlayerName] [Amount].

For example, typing /bounty add Notch 1000 will bring up a confirmation menu. Once confirmed, it will deduct $1,000 from your balance and place a $1,000 reward on Notch’s head for the whole server to see!

(Note: The target player must have joined your server at least once for this to work)

8. View Active Bounties in the GUI

By typing /bounties, A visual GUI menu will open up, displaying every wanted player with their actual character head. Players can sort this menu by the highest bounty amount, the most recently set, or alphabetically by name

9. Essential BetterBounty Commands

/bountiesOpens the main GUI menu to view all active bounties
/bounty add [player] [amount]Starts the confirmation flow to place a money bounty on a specific player
/bounty remove [player](Admin) Forcibly removes a player’s bounty without them needing to be killed
/bounty reload(Admin) Reloads the plugin configuration files without restarting the server
