How Pal Spawn Behavior Works in Palworld

Palworld does not include a single configuration option to directly control Pal spawn rates. Instead, spawn behavior is influenced by multiple gameplay and world settings.

Commonly adjusted settings include:

  • RespawnPenaltyTimeScale – Controls how quickly entities respawn after being defeated.
  • ServerReplicatePawnCullDistance – Affects how many entities can exist near players at the same time.
  • EnablePredatorBossPal – Enables or disables predator boss Pal spawns.
  • PalSpawnNumRate – Controls the number of Pals that spawn.
  • Changing these values indirectly affects how frequently Pals appear in the world rather than forcing direct spawn rates.

After making changes, save the file and restart the server.

Tip:
Use Ctrl + F to quickly find these values in the file.

After making changes, save the file.

6. Start Your Server

7. Test the Spawn Rate Changes

Join the Palworld server and verify that Pal spawn behavior reflects the updated settings. If needed, repeat the steps and fine-tune the values

Example Spawn Rate Values

  • Lower values result in fewer Pals spawning.
  • Higher values increase the number and frequency of Pal spawns.
  • Gradual adjustments are recommended to avoid performance issues.
