How To Reduce Mob Spawning on Your Minecraft Server

1. Log In to Your Panel

2. Select the ‘Files’ Tab

Cybrancee panel Minecraft files page, with files tab outlined

3. Select the ‘bukkit.yml’ File

4. Search for the Spawn Limits Section

5. Lower the Monster and Animal Limits

By default, the monsters limit is set to 70, and animals is set to 10. To significantly reduce lag without ruining the survival experience, delete those numbers and lower them. A great optimized setting is changing monsters to 45 and animals to 8.

It should look exactly like this:

6. Select the ‘Save Content’ Button

7. Restart Your Server
