How To Edit Dropped Item Decay Time on a Palworld Server

1. Log In to Your Panel

3. Select the ‘Files’ Tab

4. Open the ‘PalWorldSettings.ini’ File

Navigate to:

Pal/Saved/Config/LinuxServer/PalWorldSettings.ini

5. Locate the Alive Hours Setting

Tip: Use Ctrl + F to quickly find the required setting inside PalWorldSettings.ini

Search for DropItemAliveMaxHours=

Recommended Values

Setting Goal	Value	Result
High Performance	0.500000	Items despawn after 30 minutes to reduce server lag.
Standard	1.000000	Items despawn after 1 hour (Official default).
Long Persistence	5.000000	Items stay for 5 hours, giving players more time to recover loot.
