How To Manage Player Visibility and Chat on Your Palworld Server

If you want to keep your community safe from spam or add a layer of privacy to who is currently online, managing your visibility and chat settings is key. On a Palworld server, you can control whether the player list is visible to everyone and how quickly players can send messages in the global chat. These settings are essential for preventing “Chat Flooding” and managing server reputation.

1. Log In to Your Panel

3. Select the ‘Files’ Tab

4. Open the ‘PalWorldSettings.ini’ File

Navigate to:

Pal/Saved/Config/LinuxServer/PalWorldSettings.ini

5. Locate the Setting

Tip: Use Ctrl + F to quickly find the required setting inside PalWorldSettings.ini

Search for bShowPlayerList and ChatPostLimitPerMinute

Setting Name	Recommended Value	Effect
bShowPlayerList	True	Visibility. Shows the list of all online players when you press the ESC key.
bShowPlayerList	False	Privacy. The player list is hidden. Admins can still see it via RCON or the /ShowPlayers command.
ChatPostLimitPerMinute	10 to 30	Anti-Spam. Sets the maximum number of chat messages a single player can send in 60 seconds.
