How to Block VPNs, Proxies, and Alt Accounts on Your Minecraft Server (FoxGate AntiVPN)

Note:

If you run a public Minecraft server, you will eventually deal with rule-breakers. When a toxic player or hacker gets banned, they often try to use a VPN (Virtual Private Network) or an alt account to change their IP address and sneak back into the game. By installing an AntiVPN plugin, your server will automatically scan every incoming player’s connection. If it detects a data center, proxy, or VPN, it will instantly kick them before they can even log in.

1. Download the FoxGate AntiVPN Plugin

Note: Make sure to match your Server Version and Platform

2. Log In to Your Panel

3. Select the ‘Files’ Tab

4. Select the ‘Plugins’ Folder

7. How the Detection Works

Out of the box, you do not need to do anything else! The moment the plugin is installed, it connects to a massive list of free, public IP-checking databases. Whenever a player tries to join, the plugin quickly cross-references their IP. If it flags as a known VPN or hosting company, the player receives a customizable kick message and is denied entry.

8. How to Whitelist Trusted Players

Open your game chat or server console and type:
/foxgate whitelist add [PlayerName]

(Note: You can also use their IP address instead of their name)

9. How to Manually Block a Player

If you want to permanently deny a player entry regardless of their connection type, open your game chat and type:
/foxgate blacklist add [PlayerName]

(Note: You can also use their IP address instead of their name)

/foxgate whitelist add [name/ip]Whitelists a player or IP so they are never blocked
