How To Change Player Hunger Rates on Your Palworld Server

Note:

If your players are spending more time cooking and eating than exploring or fighting, you likely need to adjust the PlayerStomachDecreaceRate. This setting controls how fast the hunger bar drains. By lowering this value, you can make survival feel less like a “restaurant simulator” and more like an adventure.

1. Log In to Your Panel

3. Select the ‘Files’ Tab

4. Open the ‘PalWorldSettings.ini’ File

Navigate to:

Pal/Saved/Config/LinuxServer/PalWorldSettings.ini

5. Locate the Variable

Tip: Use Ctrl + F to quickly find the required setting inside PalWorldSettings.ini

Search for PlayerStomachDecreaceRate

Setting Value	Penalty Level	Effect
0.5	Easy	Players get hungry half as fast. Great for builders and explorers.
1.0	Default	Standard survival pacing.
2.0	Hardcore	Players must eat twice as often.
