How To Enable Backup Saves on Your Palworld Server

Note:

If you’re worried about losing progress due to a server crash, power outage, or a “bad” mod installation, the bIsUseBackupSaveData setting is your best friend. This is a built-in safety feature that tells the server to automatically create and maintain backup points of your world data.

1. Log In to Your Panel

2. Stop Your Server

3. Select the ‘Files’ Tab

4. Open the ‘PalWorldSettings.ini’ File

Navigate to:

Pal/Saved/Config/LinuxServer/PalWorldSettings.ini

5. Locate the Variable

Tip: Use Ctrl + F to quickly find the required setting inside PalWorldSettings.ini

Search for bIsUseBackupSaveData

Setting Name	Value	Effect
bIsUseBackupSaveData	True	Enabled. The server will automatically generate backup files.
bIsUseBackupSaveData	False	Disabled. No internal backups are made (Default).
