How to Reduce Server Lag and Ping Spikes on Your Left 4 Dead 2 Server

1. Log In to Your Panel


2. Select the ‘Files’ Tab

6. Add the Network Rate Commands

Scroll to the bottom of the file and paste the following block of code. This forces the server to use optimal bandwidth and update rates for standard 30-tick gameplay:

sv_minrate 30000
sv_maxrate 60000
sv_mincmdrate 30
sv_maxcmdrate 30
sv_minupdaterate 30
sv_maxupdaterate 30

7. Save the Changes


8. Restart Your Server
