How to Turn on the “Realism” Modifier for Any Campaign in Left 4 Dead 2

Note:

Realism strips away player glows (so you can’t see your teammates or items through walls), reduces the damage zombies take from body shots, makes Witches instantly kill you, and removes rescue closets entirely. Dead survivors can only be brought back into the game with a defibrillator

1. Log In to Your Panel

2. Select the ‘Files’ Tab

4. Select the ‘cfg’ Folder

5. Select the ‘server.cfg‘ File

6. Edit the server.cfg File

Click on the server.cfg file to open it in the editor. Scroll to the very bottom and add these two lines to force the server to recognise and boot into Realism mode exclusively:

sv_gametypes "realism"
mp_gamemode "realism"

7. Save the Changes
