How To Enable RCON on Your Insurgency Sandstorm Server

Note:

Setting up RCON requires its own dedicated port. Do not use your primary Game port! If your control panel only shows one total allocation, navigate to your Port tab and click Create Allocation to generate a second port specifically for RCON.

1. Log In to Your Panel

2. Stop Your Server

3. Select the ‘Files’ Tab

4. Open the ‘Game.ini’ file

Navigate to:

Insurgency/Saved/Config/LinuxServer/

5. Edit the ‘Game.ini’ File

Code Line	What It Does
[Rcon]	The Section Header: Tells the server that the following settings are specifically for Remote Console access.
bEnabled=True	The Switch: Turns the RCON feature on.
Password=MakeUpASecurePasswordHere	The Password: Sets the secure password you will use to log in via your RCON client.
ListenPort=15011	The Port: Instructs the RCON system to listen for connections on your newly allocated secondary port.
