How To Enable or Disable Weather Lightning Damage in Space Engineers

1. Log In to Your Panel


2. Select the ‘Files’ Tab

3. Select the ‘config’ Folder

4. Select the ‘Saves’ Folder

5. Select the ‘World’ Folder

6. Inside the ‘World’ Folder, Select the ‘Sandbox_config.sbc‘ File

7. Configure the Lightning Damage Setting

Scroll through the file or use Ctrl + F to find the setting.

Note: In the game’s code, “Lightning” is actually spelled without the ‘n’, so you must search for the exact tag below!

Locate the <WeatherLightingDamage> tag.

To Enable Lightning Damage: Change the value to true so the line reads <WeatherLightingDamage>true</WeatherLightingDamage>.

To Disable Lightning Damage: Change the value to false so the line reads exactly <WeatherLightingDamage>false</WeatherLightingDamage>. Lightning will still strike visually, but grids and players will take absolutely zero damage.

8. Save the Changes
