How To Turn the Weather System On or Off on Your Space Engineers Server

Note:

Turning off the weather system means your solar panels will always receive maximum possible sunlight based on the time of day, as there will be no clouds or fog to block the rays.

1. Log In to Your Panel

2. Select the ‘Files’ Tab

3. Select the ‘config’ Folder

4. Select the ‘Saves’ Folder

5. Select the ‘World’ Folder

6. Inside the ‘World’ Folder, Select the ‘Sandbox_config.sbc‘ File

7. Configure the Weather System Setting

Scroll through the file or use Ctrl + F to find the <WeatherSystem> tag.

To Turn On Weather (Dynamic Environments): Change the value to true so the line reads <WeatherSystem>true</WeatherSystem>.

To Turn Off Weather (Clear Skies): Change the value so the line reads exactly <WeatherSystem>false</WeatherSystem>. All planets will now have permanently clear weather.

8. Save the Changes

9. Restart Your Server
