How To Set Up a Server MOTD (Message of the Day) on Your Insurgency Sandstorm Server

Note:

Before editing, make sure your server is offline so your changes aren’t overwritten. If your Game.ini is empty, you must include the Section Header (the text in brackets) for the commands to work.

1. Log In to Your Panel

2. Stop Your Server

3. Select the ‘Files’ Tab

4. Open the ‘Game.ini’ file

Navigate to:

Insurgency/Saved/Config/LinuxServer/

5. Edit the ‘Game.ini’ File

Configuration Element	Exact Code to Paste	Notes
Header Section	[/Script/Insurgency.INSGameMode]	Ensure this is at the top of the block. If it already exists in Game.ini, do not duplicate it.
Command Line	ServerMOTD=Welcome to the server!\nRule 1: Be respectful.	Place directly under the header. Use \n to create line breaks in your message.

7. Restart Your Server
