How To Enable or Disable Destructible Blocks on Your Space Engineers Server

Note:

Even if Destructible Blocks is set to false, players can still use their hand-held Grinders or ship-mounted Grinder blocks to deconstruct grids! This setting only disables physics and weapon damage.

1. Log In to Your Panel

2. Select the ‘Files’ Tab

3. Select the ‘config’ Folder

4. Select the ‘Saves’ Folder

5. Select the ‘World’ Folder

6. Inside the ‘World’ Folder, Select the ‘Sandbox_config.sbc‘ File

7. Configure the Destructible Blocks Setting

Scroll through the file or use Ctrl + F to find the <DestructibleBlocks> tag.

To Allow Damage (Standard Survival): Change the value to true so the line reads <DestructibleBlocks>true</DestructibleBlocks>

To Make Blocks Invincible (Safe/Creative): Change the value to false. The line should look exactly like this: <DestructibleBlocks>false</DestructibleBlocks>.
