How To Force Players To Spawn in Space Instead of on Planets in Space Engineers

Note:

If you are hosting a strictly space-based server (like an asteroid-belt mining community or a deep-space fleet battle server), players spawning in planetary drop pods can ruin the experience. To ensure everyone spawns in a spaceship or a space suit, you can disable planets entirely in your core configuration.

1. Log In to Your Panel

2. Select the ‘Files’ Tab

4. Select the ‘SpaceEngineers-Dedicated.cfg‘ File

5. Disable Planets

To force a true space-only scenario and prevent any planetary respawn pods from appearing on the Respawn Screen, find the following line using Ctrl + F: <EnablePlanets>true</EnablePlanets>

Change the variable to false. The line should look exactly like this: <EnablePlanets>false</EnablePlanets>

6. What If the Setting Is Missing?

If you search your file and cannot find <EnablePlanets>, your server is using the hidden vanilla default values.

Simply scroll through the file until you find the main <Settings> section. Hit Enter to create a new, empty line, and type the exact code below to manually apply the rule: <EnablePlanets>false</EnablePlanets>
