How to Change the Difficulty on Your V Rising Server

Note:

The difficulty preset is set in ServerHostSettings.json, not ServerGameSettings.json. Many times, players get this wrong because by the name, it seems that the difficulty preset should be in the ServerGameSettings.json — make sure you are editing the correct file.

1. Log in to Your Panel

2. Stop Your Server

3. Select the ‘Files’ Tab

Scroll down the Sidebar until you find the Files Tab.

4. Locate the ‘VRisingServer_Data’ file

Proceed to open it.

5. Locate the ‘StreamingAssets’ file

Proceed to open it.

6. Locate the ‘Settings’ file

Proceed to open it.

7. Locate the ‘ServerHostSettings.json’ file

Proceed to open it.

8. Locate the Phrase Highlighted Below in the ‘ServerHostSettings.json’ File

9. Replace the Values of the Highlighted Phrase Below Accordingly

“EASY”

OR

“NORMAL”

“OR”

“BRUTAL”

10. Save the Newly Made Changes

Use the highlighted button to do so.

11. Restart Your Server and Game
