How to Enable Third-Person Perspective on Your ARK: Survival Evolved Server

Note:

To ensure your configuration changes are saved successfully without the live server engine overwriting them, go to your main Cybrancee dashboard and click Stop.
If the header already exists in your file, simply add the lines directly underneath it instead of duplicating the header

1. Log In to Your Panel

3. Select the ‘Files’ Tab

4. Open the ‘GameUserSettings.ini‘ File

Navigate to:

/ShooterGame/Saved/Config/LinuxServer

5. Edit the ‘GameUserSettings.ini‘ File

Tip: Use Ctrl + F to quickly find the required setting inside GameUserSettings.ini file

Configuration Element	Exact Code	Notes
Header Section	[ServerSettings]	Ensure this is present in the file. General server gameplay rules must go beneath this specific header.
Third-Person Toggle	AllowThirdPersonPlayer=true	Place directly under the header. true allows players to use the third-person camera on foot, while false restricts them to first-person only.

false (Default on Hardcore): Forces players to stay in first-person view for increased immersion and challenge.
