How to Enable Third-Person Perspective on Your ARK: Survival Evolved Server

1. Log In to Your Panel


2. Stop Your Server


3. Select the ‘Files’ Tab

4. Open the ‘GameUserSettings.ini‘ File

Navigate to:

/ShooterGame/Saved/Config/LinuxServer

5. Edit the ‘GameUserSettings.ini‘ File

Tip: Use Ctrl + F to quickly find the required setting inside GameUserSettings.ini file

6. Understanding the Configuration

This setting toggles the ability for players to scroll out and view their character from behind.

false (Default on Hardcore): Forces players to stay in first-person view for increased immersion and challenge.

true: Allows players to toggle between first and third-person perspectives freely.
