How to Change the Multiplayer Tether Distance on Your ARK: Survival Evolved Server

1. Log In to Your Panel


2. Stop Your Server


3. Select the ‘Files’ Tab

4. Open the ‘GameUserSettings.ini‘ File

Navigate to:

/ShooterGame/Saved/Config/LinuxServer

5. Edit the ‘GameUserSettings.ini‘ File

Tip: Use Ctrl + F to quickly find the required setting inside GameUserSettings.ini file

6. Understanding the Configuration

This setting dictates how far guests can travel from the host in Non-Dedicated/Local sessions.

1.0 (Default): The highly restrictive vanilla tether radius.

10.0: Massively expands the playable radius, allowing friends to roam freely across the map.
