How To Fix “Version Mismatch” Errors Between Your Schedule 1 Server and Players

Note:

When connecting to a Schedule 1 dedicated server, players will encounter a “Version Mismatch” error if their local Steam game client and the hosted server are running on different game branches (for example, if the server is running on the Alternative branch while the player’s local game client is set to Main, or vice versa).

1. Log In to Your Panel

2. Stop Your Server

3. Select the ‘Startup’ Tab

4. Check Which Branch Your Server Is Running On

5. Open Steam on Your PC

6. Open Schedule 1 Game Properties

1. Navigate to your Steam Library.

2. Right-click on Schedule 1 in your games list and select Properties….

7. Select the Game Versions & Betas Tab in Steam

8. Check and Match Your Local Game Client Branch

Check the current selection in the Selected Game Version dropdown menu against your server’s branch:

  • If your server is on Alternative: Select Alternative from the Steam dropdown menu.
  • If your server is on Main: Select Default Public Version from the Steam dropdown menu.

9. Allow Steam To Update the Game Client

10. Verify Active Game Branch in Steam Library
