How to Install Plugins on Your Terraria TShock Server

Note: Learning how to install plugins on your Terraria TShock server requires your server to be running the TShock server engine. TShock plugins are distributed as .dll files and must be placed inside the ServerPlugins directory.

1. Log In to Your Panel

2. Select the ‘Console’ Tab

From the left navigation menu, select the ‘Console’ tab to access your server control dashboard.

3. Stop Your Server

Click the red ‘Stop’ button on the console dashboard and wait until your server status displays ‘Offline’.

4. Select the ‘Switch Loader’ Tab

From the left navigation menu, select the ‘Switch Loader’ tab to open your server software options.

5. Verify or Select ‘TShock’

On the Switch Loader page, verify that ‘TShock’ is selected as your active server engine to enable plugin support.

6. Select the ‘Files’ Tab

From the left navigation menu, select the ‘Files’ tab to access your server root directory.

7. Open the ‘ServerPlugins’ Directory

In your file manager, locate the ‘ServerPlugins’ folder and click on it to open the directory where plugins are stored.

8. Click the ‘Upload’ Button

In the top right corner of the file manager, click the ‘Upload’ button to prepare for adding your plugin file.

9. Upload Your Plugin (.dll) File

Select and upload your downloaded plugin file (.dll) into the ServerPlugins directory.

10. Return to the ‘Console’ Tab

From the left navigation menu, select the ‘Console’ tab to return to the server dashboard.

11. Start Your Server

Click the green ‘Start’ button to boot your server and load your new plugin.

12. Verify Loaded Plugins in Console

In the console command field, type plugins and press enter to verify that your newly installed plugin appears in the active plugins list.
