How to Configure Packet Rate Limiting on Your Minecraft Server

1. Log In to Your Panel

Navigate to the Cybrancee Panel and log in to your account.


2. Select the ‘Files’ Tab

Select the ‘Files’ tab from the left sidebar.

3. Select the ‘server.properties’ File

Locate and select the ‘server.properties‘ file.

4. Configure the rate-limit Value

Locate the ‘rate-limit=0‘ and replace 0 with the maximum number of packets you want to allow a client to send every second. This setting was added in Minecraft 1.16.2. The default value is 0, meaning the client can send unlimited packets every second. We recommend testing different values first to make sure normal players don’t get disconnected.

5. Select ‘Save Content’

Select ‘Save Content’ to save the changes made to your file.


6. Restart Your Server

Select the ‘Restart’ button to apply the changes made.
