How To Switch Between Proximity and Global Voice Chat on Your Enshrouded Server

Note:

The value assigned to "voiceChatMode" is case-sensitive and must be enclosed in double quotation marks within enshrouded_server.json.

1. Log In to Your Panel

2. Select the ‘File’ Tab

3. Select the ‘enshrouded_server.json‘ File

4. Configure the ‘voiceChatMode’ Setting

Locate the "voiceChatMode" parameter on line 10:

"voiceChatMode": "Proximity",

For spatial/directional audio, set the value to "Proximity". Players will only hear others when standing nearby.

For server-wide voice, set the value to "Global". All players can communicate regardless of distance.

5. Save the Changes

6. Restart Your Server
