How to Set Up Custom Spawn Protection in Terraria TShock

Note: Configuring spawn protection in Terraria TShock creates an automated tile protection zone around the world spawn point. When enabled, non-admin players cannot break blocks, place items, or alter terrain within the defined radius, shielding newcomers and the initial spawn area from griefing.

1. Log In to Your Panel

3. Access the Files Tab

Select the ‘Files’ tab from the top navigation menu to access your server’s file manager.

4. Open the TShock Directory

Locate and select the tshock directory from the root file listings.

5. Open the config.json File

Locate the config.json file inside your tshock directory and select it to open the configuration editor.

6. Locate the SpawnProtection Setting

Locate the SpawnProtection parameter on the configuration file, which is set to false by default.

7. Enable Spawn Protection in Terraria TShock

Change SpawnProtection from false to true, and adjust SpawnProtectionRadius to your desired tile protection distance.

Select the ‘Save Content’ button at the bottom-right corner of the editor to apply your configuration changes.
