How To Install and Configure the Clock Mod on Your Valheim Server

Note:

The Clock mod adds an on-screen widget displaying the real-time in-game time of day, fuzzy descriptions (such as “Late Afternoon”), or current world days. Installing it on your BepInEx server ensures compatibility and uniform mod management across connecting clients.

1. Download the Clock Mod

3. Log In to Your Panel

4. Select the ‘Switch Loader’ Tab

5. Ensure That the Server Is Running on Valheim BepINex Loader

6. Select the ‘File’ Tab

7. Select the ‘BepInEx’ Folder

8. Select the ‘Plugin’ Folder

9. Upload the Clock Mod

10. Restart Your Server

11. Head to the BepInEx Folder and Select the ‘Config’ Folder.

12. If the Mod Was Installed Properly, You Should See a File Named ‘aedenthorn.ClockMod.cfg’

13. Configure Display and Format Settings

Under the [General] section, adjust how and where the clock appears on the screen:

Setting Key	Default	Description
ClockFormat	HH:mm	Sets format: HH:mm for 24-hr time, or fuzzy for descriptive phrases (e.g., “Dawn”).
ClockString	{0}	Text template: {0} = time, {1} = fuzzy string, {2} = current day count.
ClockLocationString	50%,3%	Screen coordinates using percentages (X%,Y%) or direct pixel positions.
ClockTextAlignment	MiddleCenter	Anchor alignment (e.g., MiddleCenter, UpperLeft, LowerRight).

14. Configure Hotkeys and Visibility Behavior

Setting Key	Default	Description
ShowClockKey	home	Main Unity input keybind used to toggle visibility.
ShowClockKeyMod	(Empty)	Optional modifier key (e.g., left alt or left shift).
ShowClockKeyOnPress	false	If true, only shows the clock while the hotkey is physically held down.
ShowClockOnChange	false	If true, displays the clock only when the in-game minute or time changes.
ShowClockOnChangeFadeTime	5	Seconds the clock stays visible upon time change before fading.
ShowClockOnChangeFadeLength	1	Duration in seconds of the fading transition.
ClockFuzzyStrings	(24 periods)	Comma-separated list defining custom period names throughout the 24 hours.

17. Verify the Clock In-Game

Launch Valheim on your client and join your server.

If ClockFormat is set to HH:mm, verify the digital clock widget appears on your HUD (default top-center).

If ClockFormat is set to fuzzy, verify that periods such as Early Evening appear at the designated screen coordinates.
