How to Upload a Plugin to WordPress

If you have sourced a plugin via an external site and have a zip file, you will need to upload this to WordPress via the Plugin installer.

1. Log Into Your WordPress Site

2. Select the ‘Plugins’ Tab

3. Select the ‘Add New Plugin’ Button

4. Upload Your Plugin

Select the ‘Upload Plugin’ button at the top, and then select the ‘Choose file’ button to open your file explorer. Locate your plugin and upload it to WordPress.

5. Select the ‘Install Now’ Button

After the plugin is uploaded, select the ‘Install Now’ button to install it onto your WordPress site.

6. Select the ‘Activate Plugin’ Button

Once installed, you will be redirected automatically to a page confirming the installation was successful. Press the ‘Activate Plugin’ button to enable the plugin.
