How to Connect to Your DayZ Server

1. Launch DayZ

2. Select the ‘Servers’ Tab

Use the Search Bar to find your server, if you don’t know the name, view step 3.

You’ll see these tabs:

  • Favorites — Shows servers you have manually added to your favorites list.
  • Recent — Displays servers you have joined recently.
  • Friends —Shows servers where your Steam friends are currently playing (if any).
  • Official —Lists the official Bohemia Interactive DayZ servers.
  • Community — Lists community-hosted servers, including those managed by hosting providers or private owners.
  • LAN —Shows servers detected on your local network (usually empty unless you’re hosting one locally).

3. Get Your Server Name

You can find your server name in the Startup tab, under the ‘SERVER NAME’ setting.

If your server doesn’t appear right away, wait a couple of minutes, new DayZ servers can take a little time to show up in the public browser.

4. Connect To the Server

Select your server from the list and then click the ‘JOIN’ button to connect.

If your server isn’t showing up in the Server List, you can connect directly using its IP and port.

1. Log In to Your Panel


2. Select the ‘Dashboard’ Tab

Here you’ll find your server’s IP address and port, you’ll need both to connect from the DayZ launcher.

  • Server IP
  • Server Port

3. Launch DayZ


4. Select the ‘Direct Connect’ Button

Select the ‘DIRECT CONNECT’ button.

5. Enter Your Server IP and Port Details

Enter your server’s IP and port.

To save the server in your list permanently, make sure to tick the ‘Add to favorites’ box.
