How to Change the Mob Spawn Rate on a Minecraft Server

1. Log In to Your Panel

2. Select the ‘Files’ Tab

Cybrancee panel Minecraft dashboard with files tab outlined

3. Select the ‘bukkit.yml’ File

box and an arrow point at bukkit.yml Minecraft

4. Change the ‘spawn-limits’ Values

Next, locate the ‘spawn-limits’ section. Here, you can adjust the settings to your liking. The number after each mob type indicates how many of that mob can spawn. For example, if you change the value for monsters from 70 to 80, the maximum number of monsters that can spawn will be 80. When you’re done, select the save button. Refer to the image below for the default spawn values.
