How To Change Your Rust Player Seed

Important!

Changing a player seed only affects your local client. Other players on the server will not see the change.

Notes:

– Admin rights are not required to use these commands.
– Keep the seed number if you want to revert to a specific appearance later.

Player Seed Commands

Change Player Seed

playerseed <seed> <optional playername/steamID>

Replace <seed> with the number you want.

If no player name or SteamID is provided, it changes your own appearance.

Use the guide How to Find a User’s SteamID to get the correct ID if you want to apply it to someone else.

You can also specify another player by name or SteamID (useful for demos or private servers).

Shuffle Player Seed

Randomizes the player’s appearance.

shuffleplayerseed <optional playername/steamID>

The new seed number is printed in the console for future reference.

If no player is specified, it applies to the local player.
