How To Display Players on the Map on a Project Zomboid Server (B41/B42)

1. Open Project Zomboid


2. Select the ‘Files’ tab

3. Locate the ‘Server’ Folder

You can find the folder in /home/container/.cache/Server.

4. Select the ‘Server.ini’ File

5. Set the Visibility Value in the ‘MapRemotePlayerVisibility’ Option

You can find this option starting from line 333. Here, you can set three types of visibility, which will determine which players others will be able to see on the map. For example:

1 = Hide all players on the map.

2 = Allows you to see only your faction members on the map.

3 = Allows you to see only your faction members and other nearby players on the map.

4 = Allows you to see all players on the map.

Then, save the changes:

6. Restart Your Server
