How to Receive Notifications from Smart Alarms in Rust+

Note:

Before you can use Rust+ to manage Smart Alarm, make sure the Rust+ app is already paired with your server. You can follow our guide How to Pair the Rust+ Mobile App With Your Server.

1. Open Your Rust+ App

2. Pair Your Rust+ App

Make sure your Rust+ app is paired and running on your mobile device. Go to the ‘Devices’ tab to confirm the Smart Alarm is visible.

3. What do You Need

4. Set Up a Simple Trigger

  • Connect your Smart Alarm to an easy trigger, for this example we’ll use a Laser Sensor placed at a doorway.
  • When a player crosses the laser, it sends a signal to the Smart Alarm.
  • This makes testing notifications quick and reliable.

5. Pair Your Smart Alarm

  • Hold E with the Wire Tool on the Smart Switch and select the ‘Pair this device with Rust+‘.
  • You’ll receive a push notification on your mobile device. Accept it to make the Smart Switch appear in the ‘Devices’ tab of Rust+.

6. Test the Alarm

Walk through the laser to activate the circuit.

  • Your Smart Alarm will trigger.
  • You should instantly receive a push notification from the Rust+ app on your mobile device.

7. Manage Notifications

All Smart Alarm alerts will appear as push notifications. Make sure they are enabled in your mobile settings so you don’t miss any warnings.
