How to Set Up Smart Lights Using the Rust+ App

Note:

Before you can use Rust+ to manage Smart Lights, make sure the Rust+ app is already paired with your server. You can follow our guide How to Pair the Rust+ Mobile App With Your Server.

1. What Do You Need

• Smart Switch
• Device to control (e.g. lights, turret, any electrical contraption)
• Wire Tool
• Power Source

2. Pair Your Rust+ App

Ensure your Rust+ app is linked with your server.

3. Pair Your Smart Switch

• Deploy the Smart Switch somewhere accessible.

• Connect the device you want to control via wiring.

• Provide power to both the Smart Switch and the device.

• Hold E with the Wire Tool on the Smart Switch and select the ‘Pair this device with Rust+‘.
• You’ll receive a push notification on your mobile device. Accept it to make the Smart Switch appear in the ‘Devices’ tab of Rust+.

4. Go to the ‘Devices’ Tab

Open the Rust+ app on your mobile device and tap the bulb icon to access the ‘Devices’ section.

5. Manage Your Devices

All paired Smart Switches will now appear in the Devices tab, and can be toggled ON/OFF remotely.
