How To Toggle Character Persistence After Logout on Your Palworld Server

1. Log In to Your Panel


2. Stop Your Server


3. Select the ‘Files’ Tab

4. Open the ‘PalWorldSettings.ini’ File

Navigate to:

Pal/Saved/Config/LinuxServer/PalWorldSettings.ini

5. Toggle Character Persistence

Tip: Use Ctrl + F to quickly find the required setting inside PalWorldSettings.ini

Search for bExistPlayerAfterLogout.

To make players disappear instantly: Set the value to False. This is the safest option for PvE and casual servers.

To keep players in the world: Set the value to True. The character will remain at their last location. They can still take damage from wild Pals, environmental hazards, or other players.
