How to Add Custom Enchantments to Your Minecraft Server (ExcellentEnchants)

What are Custom Enchantments?
In Minecraft, custom enchantments are special abilities added to your server that don’t exist in the base game (like Auto-Smelt for pickaxes, or Lifesteal for swords). They make late-game survival much more exciting, and because they are server-side plugins, your players don’t need to download any mods to use them.

What is ExcellentEnchants?
It is currently one of the most popular and polished custom enchantment plugins available. Instead of forcing players to use clunky chat commands or weird menus, ExcellentEnchants seamlessly injects over 70 new enchantments directly into vanilla enchanting tables, anvils, and villager trades, so it feels completely natural.

1. Download the ExcellentEnchants.jar and NightCore.jar File

Note: Make sure to match your Server Version and Platform.

2. Log In to Your Panel

3. Select the ‘Files’ Tab

7. How Players Get Enchants

The Enchanting Table: Players can simply place their tools, weapons, and armour into a standard Enchanting Table. The new custom enchants will randomly appear alongside vanilla enchants!

Villager Trading: Librarians have a chance to sell custom enchanted books.

Loot Chests: Custom enchanted books will now naturally spawn in dungeon, stronghold, and village chests.

Anvils: Players can combine custom enchanted books with their gear using a standard anvil.

8. How to Apply an Enchantment Directly to an Item

If you want to instantly buff the sword or pickaxe you are currently holding, you can bypass the enchanting table entirely

1. Hold the item you want to enchant in your main hand.

2. Open your chat and type:
/eenchants enchant excellentenchants:[enchantment] [level]

(Example: /eenchants enchant excellentenchants:bomber 3 will instantly put Lifesteal III on Steve’s sword!)

9. How to View Every Custom Enchantment Available

With over 70 new enchantments, it can be hard to remember all of their exact names. You can open a clean, in-game menu to view them all!

Open your chat and type /eenchants list and hit Enter.

A chest GUI will pop up on your screen showing every custom enchantment loaded on your server, what they do, and what items they can be applied to.

10. How to Give Yourself a Custom Enchanted Book

If you want to give a player a specific enchanted book as a reward (or test it out on an anvil yourself), you can spawn one in directly.

Open your chat and type:
/eenchants book excellentenchants:[enchantment] [level]

(Example: /eenchants book excellentenchants:veinminer 2 will drop a bomber II book right into your inventory!)
