Palworld Server “Connection Timed Out” (Post-Update)

The Problem: Why it Times Out

When the game client updates to a new version (like v0.7.2.87654), older server-side mods become incompatible. This creates a handshake failure. Even if your client is “clean,” the server will reject the connection because the outdated mod files are still active in the server’s memory

1. Log In to Your Panel

2. Stop Your Server

3. Clear the Pak Mods

Navigate to:

Pal/Content/Paks/~mods

Delete the modded'.pak'file outlined with arrow

Pal-WindowsServer.pak: DO NOT DELETE. This is your core game file (approx. 3.3 GiB). Deleting this will force a full server reinstall.

LogicMods: DELETE. This folder contains scripts that are most likely breaking your connection.

5. Restart Your Server
