How To Adjust the Tank’s Health on Your Left 4 Dead 2 Server

1. Log In to Your Panel

2. Select the ‘Files’ Tab

L4D2 Server Dashboard, Files Tab Highlighted

3. Select the ‘left4dead2’ Folder

Navigating to the left4dead2 root folder in the Cybrancee server file manager

4. Select the ‘cfg’ Folder

Clicking the server.cfg file in the Cybrancee file manager to edit configuration settings

5. Select the ‘server.cfg‘ File

Clicking the server.cfg file in the Cybrancee file manager to edit configuration settings

6. Add the Health Command

The z_tank_health variable determines exactly how many hit points the Tank has when he spawns. By increasing this number (e.g., to 6000 or 8000), you make the Tank significantly harder to kill. Decreasing it makes him more manageable for smaller or less experienced teams.

Scroll to the bottom of the file. Paste the following code on a new line and adjust the number to your preferred health value (the default value is 4000):

// Adjusts the Tank's total health
sm_cvar z_tank_health 6000
Adding the z_tank_health command to the server.cfg file

7. Save the Changes

8. Restart Your Server
